Though primarily identifying as a dance artist, Kayla first found an interest in producing and administration through organizing informal dance showings while at SFU.  She has gone on to volunteer as an artistic director for student-produced shows, and most recently worked as an associate producer under Natalie Lefebvre—Gnam for plastic orchid factory’s Digital Folk. Kayla has also acted as the principal grant writer for the annual SFU show Ascension. Starting as an intern, Kayla now works for independent artist Chick Snipper as an administrative assistant, helping with scheduling, space booking and grant writing. Using her passion for writing and organizing, Kayla started Enhance Arts Administration with the goal of assisting small collectives and independents by maximizing their productivity outside of the studio so they can focus on their creative process.
